<div dir="ltr">With regard to aero-towing the PW-5, there are some things to consider before a final decision is made:<div><br></div><div>Time: It will take up to two hours for a round trip, given that the Husky would have to land at W99 to return a ferry pilot. That means having people stand by at KFRR until the PW can be launched. This can be mitigated by dragging the PW over earlier in the day. Trailer tow will allow for assembly/disassembly training, however that will also suck up time. If there is no need to return a ferry pilot, then this can be reduced by 30 minutes or more (see "Heartburn").</div><div><br></div><div>Cost: I believe the cost/tach hour for the Husky is $90. Given constant RPM's, tach time is much closer to elapsed time. Costs will be at least $150 per round trip and there will be two round trips. Less if we don't return a pilot.</div><div><br></div><div>Heartburn: Back in 2018, the Husky was used to ferry a pilot back to KFRR so that he could get his car, which caused some "pushback" from the Board. The costs for ferrying the pilot back had to be absorbed by all of the participants (I think). Also, if we take the PW over early, that could impact anyone who wants to fly it on the 27th. </div><div><br></div><div>Are the participants willing to expend the extra time/money to aero-tow the PW vs. trailer-tow?
